A) Check discs for cracks, kinks, dents, etc.
b) Inspect tires for excessive wear and deformation. Also make sure there are no foreign objects in the rubber tread (stones, nails and the like).
2. Check tire pressure (see table "Tire pressure").
Note: measure tire pressure with the vehicle fully loaded.
Table. Tire pressure.
3. Check the axial and radial runout of the wheel.
Limit runout:
- axial - 2.0 mm
- radial - 2.0 mm
- radial (Sirion) - 1.4 mm
Note: Take these measurements no later than 5 minutes after driving for at least 30 minutes at a speed of 60-80 km/h.
4. Check up the moments of an inhaling of bolts and nuts of fastening of elements of a suspension bracket.
5. Check up a condition of steering drafts.
A) Jack up the car.
b) Shake the wheel as shown in the figure and check that there is no excessive play.
6. (Sirion rear suspension)
Check the axial clearance of the bearing.
A) Jack up the car.
b) Remove the rear wheel.
V) Using a dial indicator, check the axial and radial clearance of the bearing.
Limit clearance:
- axial - 0.8 mm
- radial - 0.1 mm
G) If the clearances are greater than the specified value, replace the bearing.
7. (Sirion rear suspension) Checking hub runout.
A) Jack up the car.
b) Remove the rear wheel.
V) Remove the brake drum.
G) Using a dial gauge, check the hub runout.
- Maximum runout - 0.2 mm
d) If the runout is not correct, replace the hub.
