Installation

1. Using the special tool, compress the spring.

Attention:
  • Do not use pneumatic tools for this operation.
  • A hydraulic tool can be used to compress the spring.

2. Install the spring on the strut, aligning the groove of the lower seat of the strut with the lower coil of the spring.

Note: The lower coil of the spring must be of smaller diameter.

3. Install the following items:
  • Spring compression stroke limiter.
  • Upper spring seat.
  • Bearing.
  • Upper shock absorber support.

4. Compress and orient the shock absorber rod as shown in the figure.

5. Align the groove of the upper seat of the strut with the coil of the spring.

6. Temporarily tighten the center nut onto the shock absorber rod.
  • Tightening torque - 54 - 74 Nm

7. Install the shock absorber by tightening the two nuts.
  • Tightening torque - 30 - 44 Nm

Note: When installing, orient the posts as shown in the figure.

8. (Models with ABS) Install the wheel speed sensor wire.

9. Connect the brake hose.
  • Tightening torque - 17 - 25 Nm

10. Install the front wheel.
  • Tightening torque - 88 - 118 Nm
