2. Install a new gasket and tighten the drain plug.
3. Fill with fresh working fluid through the filler pipe to the lower mark of the "COLD" range ("C", cold) on the dipstick.
Working fluid:
- EJ-DE — DEXRON III or similar
- KZ-VE, K3-VE2 — Type T-IV or similar
Volume of liquid to be poured:
In a "dry" gearbox:
- EJ-DE — 4.0 l
- KZ-VE, K3-VE2 — 5.0 l
When replacing:
- EJ-DE — 1.7 l KZ-VE
- K3-VE2 — 1.9 l
4. Start the engine at idle speed and move the selector lever to all positions from "P" to "L" and back to the "P" position.

5. With the engine idling, check the fluid level. If necessary, add fluid to the "COLD" ("C") level on the dipstick.
6. Check the fluid level at normal operating temperature of 70-80°C and top up if necessary.
Note: Do not overfill above the specified level.
