Examination
1. Place the vehicle on a flat, horizontal surface.
2. Unscrew the filler plug. Make sure that the oil level in the crankcase is under the filler plug hole cutoff. If necessary, add oil to the crankcase.
Caution: After the vehicle has been running, the oil may be hot.
Tightening torque of the filler plug: 54 - 70 Nm
Oil quality according to API - GL-5
Recommended oil viscosity according to SAE:
- Duet — 85W-90
- Sirion — 80W - 90
Filling volume:
- Duet, Sirion since 2001 - 1.0 l
- Sirion before 2001 - 1.3 l

Replacement
Change the oil if necessary.
a) Unscrew the filler plug.
b) Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil.
c) Install a new gasket and tighten the drain plug.
- Tightening torque of drain plug - 54 - 70 Nm
d) Fill with new oil up to the edge of the filler hole.
d) Tighten the filler plug.
- Tightening torque of the filler plug: 54 - 70 Nm
