Checking the selector lock cable
Check the protrusion of the ignition key lock mechanism.
A) Make sure the pin is over the center of the brake pedal stopper.
b) Measure the protrusion of the pin.
- Nominal protrusion of the pin - 0-4 mm
Checking the selector lock
1. Turn the ignition key from position "ACC" into position "ON".
2. Move selector to range "R" and make sure that the lock button on the selector is not pressed.
3. Press a brake pedal and be convinced that the clamp button on the selector is blocked and the selector does not move.
4. Set the ignition key to position "LOCK".
5. Press a brake pedal and be convinced that the button of a clamp on the selector is blocked and the selector does not move.
Ignition key lock check
1. Turn the ignition key to position "ACC".
2. Press the brake pedal and move the selector to any position except "R".
3. Make sure the ignition key cannot be turned to "LOCK".
4. Move the selector to position "R".
5. Make sure that the key in the ignition lock moves freely to the position "LOCK".
