Checking and adjusting the automatic transmission control cable



1. When switching the selector from the "N" position to other positions, make sure that the selector moves smoothly and the indicator correctly indicates the selected position. If the indicator incorrectly shows the selected position, make adjustments.



2. Loosen the automatic transmission control cable nut.



3. Move the start inhibit switch lever all the way to the "P" position.





4. Return the starter inhibit switch lever two notches to the "N" position.

5. Set the selector to the "N" position.

6. While pushing the lever towards the "R" position, tighten the control cable nut.
  • Tightening torque - 7-10 Nm

7. Start the engine and make sure that the car moves forward in selector positions from "N" to "D" and backward in position "R".

Installing and adjusting the throttle valve control cable



1. Install the retainer and connect the throttle valve control cable.



2. Tighten the throttle control cable housing.



3. Turn the casing clockwise and secure the cable.





4. Tighten the nut and adjust the cable tension by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjusting nut.

Checking and adjusting the engine start inhibit switch



1. Press the brake pedal and turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.

2. Make sure that the engine can only be started in the "N" or "P" selector range.

3. Set the selector to the "R" range and make sure that the reverse lights and the corresponding indicator on the instrument panel come on.

4. In case of malfunction, check the continuous position of the selector and make adjustments.

5. Set the selector lever to the "N" position.

6. Loosen the nut and remove the gearbox control rod.
  • Tightening torque - 15 - 22 Nm

7. Loosen the nut and remove the thrust washer and the engine start inhibit switch lever.


  • Tightening torque - 10-16 Nm

8. Adjust the position of the switch:

a) Unlock the lock and unscrew the nut.

b) Align the groove and the neutral base line.



c) While holding the parts in this position, tighten the bolts.
  • Tightening torque: 7-10 Nm
