2. Loosen the coupling bolts.
a) Press and hold the brake pedal.
b) Using a socket wrench, loosen the bolts ½ turn.

c) Loosen the two center support bearing retainer bolts.

3. Disconnect the driveshaft from the rear differential.
a) Apply alignment marks to the connecting flanges.

b) Unscrew the four bolts, remove the washers and nuts.
4. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the gearbox.
a) Unscrew the two bolts and remove the bearing.
b) Disconnect the front propeller shaft flange from the gearbox.
c) Insert a plug into the transfer case to prevent oil leakage.

5. Disconnect the front propeller shaft from the rear propeller shaft.
a) Apply alignment marks on the coupling and flange.
Note: When applying marks, do not damage the surface of the parts.

b) Using a socket wrench, remove the six bolts and three washers, and separate the front propeller shaft from the rear propeller shaft.
