- The junction of the cylinder block and gearbox.
- The junction of the halves of the gearbox housing.
- Oil fill and drain plugs.
- The planes of contact of the drive shafts with the gearbox.
When looking for a leak, proceed as follows:
- Clean the gearbox housing with cleaner.
- Check oil level. Top up if necessary.
- Sprinkle potential leaks with lime or talc.
- Make a test drive. In order for the oil to become sufficiently fluid, it is necessary to drive a distance of about 30 km on an express road.
- After a test drive, put the car on a lift and inspect the gearbox with a lamp.
