Caution: When removing the fuel pump, fuel may leak out. Gasoline vapors are especially dangerous and can cause fire and poisoning. Therefore, special attention must be paid to good ventilation of the working area. Avoid contact of fuel with the skin of the human body. Wear only shoes that protect your feet well. Open flames are not allowed. There is a risk of fire!
Removing
Disconnect ground cable (-) from the battery.
Attention: As a result, the records of the on-board computer are erased, in particular, the fault records and the radio code. Before disconnecting the battery, read the contents of the section "Removing and installing the battery".
Remove fuel tank.
Unfasten the fuel pump holder mounting bolts.
Remove the holder from the tank.
Caution: Place a rag on the floor and catch any spilled fuel.
Pull the pump out of the holder from below.
Loosen both nuts securing the plug connection and disconnect it. Mark the cable with adhesive tape.
Remove the fuel hose from the pump, having previously opened the clamps.
Remove rubber dampers.
Open the latches with a small screwdriver.
Remove fuel filter.
Installation
Install the fuel filter on the new fuel pump.
Install and close new clips.
Put the hose on the fuel pump and secure it with a new clamp.
Attach the electrical wires to the fuel pump.
Insert the fuel pump with rubber support into the holder.
Install the holder with a new gasket and tighten it with bolts to 4 Nm.
Install fuel tank.
Connect ground cable (-) with rechargeable battery.
Set the time on the clock, if any, enter the security code into the radio.
