The new models use two types of braking systems: ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), emergency brake assist, traction control (TRC) and vehicle stability control (VSC). Both braking systems installed on the new Corolla Verso models are similar in design and operating principle to the systems installed on Avensis vehicles.
Standard equipment on all models includes a braking system that includes ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, Traction Control (TRC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). A braking system that includes ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) is available as an option.
The design uses the following components manufactured by BOSCH: the main brake cylinder, front brake calipers, rear brake calipers, parking brake and brake master cylinder control unit.
