1. To open the fuel tank filler door, pull the lever up (refer to the accompanying illustration).

2. When refueling, turn off the engine.

3. To remove the fuel tank cap, turn it slowly counterclockwise, then pause and remove it. After removing the cap, hang it on the hook.

Note: When opening the cap, do not remove it abruptly. In hot weather, the fuel is under pressure and this may cause injury due to fuel spraying from the filler neck if the cap is removed abruptly.

4. When opening the lid, you may hear a slight popping sound - this is normal. When replacing, turn the lid clockwise until you hear a click.

Note: Make sure the cap is closed tightly to prevent fuel from leaking in the event of an accident.
