Opening and closing the hood [Toyota Land Cruiser J100]

1. To open the hood, pull the hood release lever (refer to the accompanying illustration). The hood will open upwards with a springy movement.

Note: Make sure the hood is securely locked before driving. Otherwise, the hood may accidentally open while driving and cause an accident.


2. At the front of the vehicle, pull up on the auxiliary latch lever and lift the hood.

3. Before closing the hood, make sure that there are no tools, rags, etc. left inside. Then lower the hood and make sure that it is securely locked in place. If necessary, press down gently on the front edge to lock it.
