Keys for a car not equipped with an immobilizer
Cars equipped with a system of increased secrecy of access to the trunk
The master key fits every lock.
The spare key does not fit the trunk lock.
To protect items locked in the trunk, leave the spare key with your escort when you park your car.
Keep a duplicate master key with you at all times in case the keys are accidentally locked inside the vehicle when the doors and trunk lid are slammed shut.
Cars without a system of increased security access to the trunk
The key fits all locks.
Keep a duplicate key with you at all times in case the main set of keys is accidentally locked inside the vehicle when the doors and trunk lid are slammed shut.
Keep the serial number tag in a safe place (e.g. in a wallet), it is not allowed to store the tag in the car.
If you suddenly lose the keys, or you need a duplicate, then by the number on the tag they can be made at a car service "Toyota".
You can also put a copy of the key number with your own documents.
Keys for a car equipped with an immobilizer
The car comes with two keys.
Primary key (black color) fits all locks. This key is required by the car service "Toyota" for the manufacture of a new key with a built-in radio beacon chip (transponder).
spare key (gray color) Fits all locks except trunk lid lock.
A radio beacon chip is built into the heads of the main and spare keys (transponder), from which the lock is triggered. Therefore, never lose your keys. If you make your own duplicate, you will not be able to trigger the security system or start the engine.
To protect items locked in the trunk, leave the spare key with your escort when you park your car.
