Removal
1. Unscrew the gas tank cap and disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Remove the air filter housing.
3. Disconnect the throttle cable.
4. On vehicles with automatic transmission, disconnect the downshift cable (kick-down-mode).
5. Identify and disconnect all vacuum hoses and the fuel supply hose from the carburetor.
6. Mark and disconnect all connectors from the carburetor.
7. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the carburetor and gasket.

8. Plug the hole in the manifold.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in reverse order, observing the following rules.
2. Remove any remaining gasket material.
3. Replace the carburetor gasket.
4. Tighten the mounting bolts in a crisscross pattern to a torque of 20 Nm, making 1/4 turn at a time.
5. Adjust the kick-down cable.
