1. Visually inspect the carburetor fasteners and connections, as well as wear in the carburetor drive connections; worn throttle actuator retainers and latches must be replaced.

2. The throttle valve should be fully open when the accelerator pedal is fully depressed. If necessary, adjust by turning the pedal stop screw or the accelerator cable adjusting screw.

3. The accelerator pump should inject fuel when the throttle valve is opened quickly.

4. The manually operated air damper shall be fully closed when its control handle is fully extended and, conversely, fully open when the control handle is fully retracted.

5. Automatic air damper control systems must be adjusted (see below).

Prerequisites for carrying out adjustments

a) The air filter is installed.

b) The engine is warmed up to normal operating temperature.

c) The air damper is fully open.

d) All electrical consumers are switched off.

d) All vacuum hoses are connected.

e) The ignition timing angle is adjusted.

g) The transmission control lever is in neutral (N) position.

c) The fuel level in the carburetor float chamber is normal.

i) The tachometer and vacuum gauge are connected.

k) When using the gas analyzer, make sure that it is in good working order, warmed up, correctly calibrated, and its scale is set to zero.

l) If the idle mixture adjustment screw has a plug, remove it.

m) In the presence of AS system (air bypass systems into the exhaust manifold in addition to the carburetor) it must be turned off by closing all its air ducts, disconnecting the vacuum hose from the AS system vibration valve and plugging the hose with a stopper.

Besides Europe.

For Europe.

n) If there is a feedback system, turn it off by disconnecting the vacuum hose running between the air diode (VTV) and the vacuum switch and plugging it on the vacuum valve side.
