Caution: When performing work on removing and installing fuel system components, the residual fuel pressure in the line must be released as follows:
- turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position;
- remove the fuel pump relay;
- start the engine and burn off any remaining fuel in the line;
- after the engine stalls, turn off the ignition;
- install the fuel pump relay.

1. Before working on the fuel system, disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
Caution: Any diagnostic code in the memory of the electronic control unit is erased when the cable from the negative terminal of the battery is removed. Therefore, it is necessary to read the diagnostic codes before disconnecting the battery.
2. Do not smoke or use open flames when working on the fuel system.
3. Do not allow gasoline to come into contact with rubber or leather objects.
4. Working with quick-release fuel line connections.
Note:
- Different quick-release couplings are used on the fuel supply side and on the fuel return side, please be careful.
- Remove abrasive from quick release coupling before use.
- Do not use special tools when working with quick-release couplings.
- Inspect the pipeline and connector. If there is contamination, clean the connector and pipeline.
- Place a plastic bag over the fuel line and connector to prevent dirt from getting in.
