Note:
- Thoroughly clean all parts to be assembled.
- Before assembly, lubricate with fresh engine oil all parts that form rotation or friction nodes.
- Replace all gaskets, o-rings and seals with new ones.
1. Install the main bearing shells.
A) Align the tabs of the upper bearing shells with the grooves (grooves) bed of the cylinder block and insert the liners.
Note: Clean the rear surface of the bearing shell and the surface of the cylinder block in contact with the shell. Keep oil and dirt away from these surfaces.
Note: top halves of earbuds (installed in the bore of the cylinder block) have oil grooves and holes, and the lower (mounted in main bearing caps) - No.
V) Install the lower main bearing shells by aligning their tabs with the grooves (grooves) in the main bearing cap.
Note: Clean the back side of the bearing shell and the surface of the bearing cap that comes in contact with the shell. Keep oil and dirt away from these surfaces.
2. Install the upper thrust washers into the main bearing seat with the oil grooves facing out.
3. Apply engine oil to the surface of the main bearing shells and lay the crankshaft in the cylinder block.
Note: Do not apply oil to the back of the earbuds.
4. Install the main bearing caps.
A) Install the four main bearing caps.
Note: each bearing cap has a number and a label "before".
b) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the threads and under the heads of the main bearing cap bolts.
V) Install and evenly tighten the main bearing cap bolts in several passes in the sequence shown in the illustration.
- Tightening torque - 59±6 Nm
G) Make sure the crankshaft rotates freely.
5. Put on pieces of rubber hoses on bolts of rods.
e. Install the piston and connecting rod assembly.
Note:
- Apply some engine oil to the cylinder walls.
- Apply some engine oil to the piston rings.
Using a ring compressor, install the piston kits into the cylinders according to their numbers, orienting the marks "before" on the pistons towards the front of the engine.
7. Establish the lower covers of rods. A. Install the bottom caps on the connecting rods.
A) Check that the numbering of the connecting rod bearing caps and connecting rods match.
Note: Clean the back side of the bearing shell and the surface of the bearing cap in contact with the shell. Keep oil and dirt away from these surfaces.
b) Install the connecting rod caps so that the marks "before" were facing the front of the engine.
B. Screw in the bolts.
Note:
- Bolts are tightened in two stages.
- If any of the connecting rod bolts is broken or deformed, replace it.
A) Apply a coat of engine oil to the threads and under the bolt heads.
b) Tighten the connecting rod cap bolts evenly in several passes.
- Tightening torque - 36 + 6 Nm
If any bolt does not tighten to the specified torque, replace it.
V) Make sure the crankshaft turns freely.
