Removing the rear shock absorber and spring
1. Jack up the machine and use stands.
2. Jack up the rear axle housing until the spring is free of load.
3. Remove the wheel.
4. Disconnect the shock absorber in the places shown in the figure.
5. Remove the stepladders by unscrewing the four nuts and removing the spring pad.
6. Remove the spring.
A) Loosen the eye pin nut.
b) Loosen the eye pin bolt.
V) Unscrew the two nuts of the connecting bracket and remove the plate.
7. Remove bushing from spring.
Leaf spring replacement
1. Using a hammer and chisel, pry back the clips.
2. Clamp the spring in a vise near the center bolt and unscrew it.
Rear suspension.
1 - Spring,
2 - Stepladder,
3 - Plate,
4 - Bushing,
5 - Connecting bracket,
6 - Spring lining,
7 - Ear finger,
8 - shock absorber,
9 - Ladder saddle.
3. If necessary, replace the spring clips.
A) Drill out the rivet and remove it.
b) Install a new rivet in the spring hole, then rivet the rivet.
4. Install the center bolt.
A) Align the holes in the sheets and secure the spring in a vise.
b) Install and tighten the center bolt.
- Tightening torque - 49 Nm
5. Using a hammer, bend the spring clip.
Spring installation
1. Install the bushings in the spring.
2. Install the spring.
A) Install the spring on the rear axle housing and the spring pad.
b) Install the front part of the spring into the front eyelet, insert the pin. Tighten the eye pin bolt.
- Tightening torque - 11 Nm
V) Screw on the lug nut without tightening it.
G) Install the rear part of the spring into the rear bracket and insert the connecting bracket.
d) Install the plate and screw on the two nuts without tightening them.
3. Install two stepladders, and tighten them with four nuts.
- Tightening torque - 123 Nm
Note: Tighten the stepladders so that the protrusion of the bolt behind the nut is the same.
4. Install shock absorber.
A) Screw the shock absorber to the frame.
- Tightening torque - 24 Nm
b) Screw the shock absorber to the spring pad.
- Tightening torque - 95 Nm
5. Install the wheel.
6. Rock the car to stabilize the suspension.
7. Tighten the lug stud nut and shackle nuts.
- Tightening torque - 91 Nm
