Front and rear shock absorber

Removal
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel. Place a stand under the beam near the shock absorber being removed.
2. Disconnect the upper shock absorber mounts. If necessary, wet the nut and stud with penetrating fluid and hold the stud with a gas wrench (the flats on the pin are small and can be easily torn off).
3. Disassemble the lower mount and remove the shock absorber.
Installation
1. When installing, follow the instructions included with the new shock absorber.
2. If air shock absorbers are installed, cut the tape only after securing the upper part of the shock absorber.
3. Rock the shock up and down to seat the bushings. Tighten the top nut and slide the bottom clevis onto the mounting bolt while releasing the strap (when installing a new shock absorber).
4. Tighten the fasteners to the specified torque.
5. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.
