Removing the axle shaft
1. Remove the conical washer.
a) Loosen the six nuts and washers and tighten the two service bolts one turn.
b) Pull out slightly and then press down on the axle shaft and remove the six conical washers.

2. Remove the axle shaft.
a) Tighten the two service bolts and separate the axle shaft.
b) Remove the axle shaft with the gasket.
c) Unscrew the two service bolts.
Note: Do not damage the seal and splines.
Checking the axle shaft and its components
1. Check the axle shaft for damage and wear. Check the axle shaft runout.
- Maximum runout - 0.8 mm
2. Check the oil seal for damage and wear and replace if necessary.
3. Replace the oil seal.
a) Remove the oil seal.
d) Install the seal and apply grease to its edge.
Installing the axle shaft
1. Apply grease to the lip of the oil seal.
2. Install the axle shaft, six conical washers and tighten the nuts.
- Tightening torque - 60 Nm
Note: When installing the axle shaft, be careful not to damage the seal and splines.
