Removal



1. Jack up the car, remove the wheel and brake drum.

2. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil.

3. Remove the brake pipe clamp.

4. Remove the differential cover with the gasket, having first unscrewed ten nuts and washers.

5. Remove the sleeve and the satellite axle.

a) Unscrew the pin.



b) Remove the satellite axle and sleeve.

Note: Once the satellite shaft is removed, the pinion and thrust washer can also be removed.




6. Press the axle towards the differential and remove the axle lock.



7. Remove the axle shaft.



Note: Do not damage the oil seal.






Half shaft (DYNA 150 Single Tires).
1 - Bushing,
2 - Pin,
3 - Axle of satellites,
4 - Differential cover,
5 - Gasket,
6 - Bearing,
7 - Seal,
8 - Brake drum,
9 - Gasket,
10 - Oil deflector,
11 - Half shaft,
12 - Axle shaft lock.


Checking and replacing axle shaft components



1. Check the axle shaft for damage and wear. Check the axle shaft runout.
  • Maximum runout - 0.8 mm



2. Check the seal and bearing for damage and wear and replace if necessary.



3. Replace the seal and bearing.

a) Remove the oil seal.



b) Remove the bearing.



c) Apply grease to the new bearing and install it in place using a tool head.



d) Install the seal using a tool head and apply grease to its edge.






Installing the axle shaft



1. Insert the axle shaft into the rear axle card.

Note: Do not damage the oil seal.


2. Install the axle shaft lock onto the axle shaft and slide the axle shaft out of the rear axle housing as far as possible.

3. Install the satellite axle and sleeve.

a) Install the satellite axle and sleeve into the differential.

b) Measure the gap between the axle shaft and the bushing.
  • Maximum gap - 0.5 mm

If necessary, adjust the washer.
  • Washer thickness: 29.0; 29,4; 29,8; 30,2; 30.6 mm



c) Tighten the pin
  • Tightening torque - 27 Nm

4. Install the differential cover, first installing a new gasket between the cover and the crankcase and tighten the ten nuts.
  • Tightening torque - 46 Nm

5. Install the brake pipe clamp.

6. Install the brake drum and wheel.

7. Fill the differential with transmission oil.
  • Oil type - APL GL-5

Viscosity:
  • Above -18°C — SAE 90
  • Below -18°C — SAE 80W or 80W - 90

Filling capacity - 2.5 l

8. Lower the car and remove the jack.
