Assess the degree of oil wear, the presence of water in it, loss of color and viscosity. If the oil is "aged", change the oil. Use oil with the API SC, SD, SE and SF quality characteristics or higher quality and the recommended viscosity.

2. Check the oil level in the engine crankcase: it should be between the marks: "L" (low) and "F" (full) on the level gauge (measuring probe).
3. Remove the oil pressure sensor.
4. Install a control pressure gauge to measure oil pressure.
5. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

6. Check the oil pressure in the engine lubrication system.
Oil pressure at engine idle speed:
- at minimum rotation speed - 0.3 kg/cm² (29 kPa) and higher
- at a rotation speed of 3000 min⁻¹ — 2.5-5.0 kg/cm² (245 - 490 kPa)
7. Install the standard emergency oil pressure sensor.
Caution: After replacing the pressure gauge with an emergency oil pressure sensor, make sure there are no leaks.
