The cooling system is of a sealed type with a tubular radiator, a pressure water pump and a thermostat with a solid filler. The cooling system includes an expansion tank for the coolant. The radiator works together with an electric fan, which, together with the fan casing, is fixed to the front of the radiator. At the engine operating temperature, the expansion tank cap is under pressure of 0.75-1.05 bar. On the 1.6 L engine, the water pump is driven by a V-belt. On the 2.0 L engine, the water pump is driven by a toothed belt. The thermostat is located in the inlet fitting of the cooling system. At low coolant temperatures, the thermostat is closed and the coolant does not pass into the radiator, which allows the engine to warm up faster. The cooling system is filled with antifreeze. Use only antifreezes compatible with aluminum.
