Sealed cooling system with tubular radiator, pressure water pump and solid-fill thermostat. The cooling system includes a coolant expansion tank. The radiator operates in conjunction with an electric fan, which, together with the fan shroud, is attached to the front of the radiator. At engine operating temperature, the expansion tank cap is under a pressure of 0.75-1.05 Bar. On the 1.6 liter engine, the water pump is driven via a V-belt. On the 2.0 liter engine, the water pump is driven via a timing belt. The thermostat is located in the inlet fitting of the cooling system. At low coolant temperatures, the thermostat is closed and coolant does not flow into the radiator, which allows the engine to warm up faster. The cooling system is filled with antifreeze. Use only antifreeze compatible with aluminum.
