Checking the knock sensor [Toyota Carina T190]

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the knock sensor, having first disconnected the sensor connectors.

3. Using an ohmmeter, make sure there is no conductivity between the sensor connector and its body.

Otherwise, replace the sensor.



4. Install the knock sensors back and connect the sensor connectors.

• Tightening torque - 44 Nm

5. Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
