Note: See Switch Test here.

The brake light switch is located at the top of the brake pedal near the support.

Removal

Turn off the ignition.

Disconnect the plug connection of the brake light switch.

Remove the nut and lock nut and remove the switch.

Installation

Measure the height of the pedal to the flooring. See the required value here.

If the measured pedal height differs from the specified value, have the pedal height and stroke adjusted at a specialist workshop.

Screw the brake light switch until it touches the pedal stop. Screw it on without tightening the lock nut.

Connect the plug connection. Turn on the ignition.

Press the brake pedal, checking with someone else's help that the brake light comes on. The brake light should come on even when the brake pedal is pressed slightly. Otherwise, adjust the switch.

Tighten the lock nut.
