Brake light switch

The brake light switch is mounted on a bracket near the top of the pedal.
Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the battery from ground, disconnect the wiring connector from the brake light switch.

2. Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the switch from the bracket.
3. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Adjustment
1. Check and adjust the pedal height if necessary. See. subsection 2.23.

2. Loosen the lock nut and rotate the switch until the protrusion of plunger A is within the normal range (see subsection 10.2.). If it is not possible to check the protrusion, adjust the switch position so that the plunger lightly touches the brake pedal stop. Tighten the lock nut.
3. Connect the wires to the switch, connect the battery to ground. Check the operation of the switch. The brake lights should light up when you press the pedal and go out when you release the pedal. Otherwise, repeat the adjustment.
4. Check and adjust pedal free play if necessary. See. subsection 2.23.
