Checking the parking brake [Toyota Corolla E80]

The parking brake acts on the rear wheels.

Cars with drum brakes:

Pull the handbrake lever with a force of 200 N (about 20 kg). The lever should move a maximum of 4-7 clicks.

Cars with rear disc brakes:

Pull the handbrake lever with a force of 200 N (about 20 kg). The lever should move a maximum of 5-8 clicks.

Otherwise, adjust the brake.
