Tires of well-balanced wheels, with the established internal pressure, with the correct wheel position adjustment and the correct functioning of the shock absorbers, wear evenly over the entire surface. In case of uneven wear, see the diagnostics in the section "Tires". The service life of tires depends on:
  • Road surface quality.
  • Internal pressure in tires.
  • Driving style.
  • Weather conditions.

Rapid wear of tires is primarily a consequence of intensive driving, abrupt starting and strong braking.

Please note: For safety reasons, it is recommended to change tyres at a tread depth of 2 mm.

If the profile depth approaches the value established by the standard, i.e. the indicator ribs are of a height 1.6 mm in some places of the tread shows the absence of the required profile, this indicates the need for an immediate replacement of the tire.

Please note: M+S tyres will only perform satisfactorily in mud and snow conditions if their tread depth is at least 4 mm.

Warning: Check the tire for cuts and check the depth of the cuts with a small screwdriver. If the cuts reach the tire cord, this may cause corrosion. The working surface of the tire may come off the cord. For safety reasons, if the tire has deep cuts, it should be replaced.
