The brake fluid reservoir is located in the engine compartment. It has two chambers: for each of its brake circuits. The tank is transparent, which allows you to visually control the level of liquid in it. It is recommended to carry out such control once every 4 weeks.
The liquid level with the lid closed must be no higher than the MAX -1- mark and not lower than the MIN -2- mark.
The system is filled with brake fluid specification SAE J 1703, DOT3 or DOT4.
Due to wear of the brake linings, the level of the brake fluid is slightly reduced. This is considered normal.
If the brake fluid level drops significantly within a short time, this is a sign of fluid leakage.
The place of leakage must be urgently localized. As a rule, fluid flows out through worn cuffs in the brake cylinders. In this case, it is better to check the system in a specialized workshop.
