Checking the clutch fluid level [Toyota Corolla E80]

The clutch fluid reservoir is located in the engine compartment near the brake booster. The reservoir cap has a threaded hole that should always be open.

The tank with liquid is transparent. Thus, the liquid level in it can always be visually checked. It is recommended to carry out such control once every four weeks.

When adding clutch fluid, use brake fluid with specification SAE J 1703, DOT3 or DOT4.



Check if the fluid level is between the MIN and MAX marks. If it is below the MIN mark, then the hydraulic system must be checked for leaks. If the system is leaky, then the clutch disc is worn out.
