Coolant drain
Remove the top radiator shroud.
Drain the coolant.
Attention! Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine and radiator are at high temperature, otherwise burns may result. Hot coolant and steam may escape from the radiator.

Remove the radiator drain cock and cylinder block coolant drain cock, then drain the coolant (pic. 2.401).
Remove the radiator cap.
Tighten the radiator drain cock.
Tighten the drain plug of the cylinder block coolant.
Tightening torque: 12.7 Nm.
Coolant fill
Slowly pour coolant into the cooling system.
Refueling volume: 5.8 l for vehicles with left-hand drive
Attention! Using the wrong coolant can damage the engine cooling system.
Warning! Use only coolant «Toyota Super Long Life Coolant» or other similar quality ethylene glycol-based antifreeze free of silicates, amines, nitrites and borates, with extended drain life, made using hybrid organic acid technology (hybrid organic acid extended life coolant is a combination of low phosphates and organic acids).
Attention! «Toyota Super Long Life Coolant» is a mixture of 50% coolant concentrate and 50% distilled water. This coolant does not freeze at temperatures down to -35°C.
Visually check the coolant level in the radiator by squeezing the inlet and outlet hoses several times by hand. If the coolant level is low, the coolant must be topped up.
Note. It is not allowed to pour plain water into the cooling system.
Install the radiator cap.
Check for coolant leaks.
Install the upper radiator shroud.
