Brake Malfunction Indicator Light

Reminds you to release the handbrake.

Make sure the vehicle is completely released from the handbrake. Once released, the indicator goes out.

Low brake fluid level or low vacuum (on diesel vehicles).

If the indicator lights up and does not go out while driving, reduce speed and stop smoothly on the side of the road. Do not brake abruptly. The light indicates a brake malfunction. Check the fluid level in the feed tank, which is visible through the transparent wall.

Make sure the vehicle is completely released from the handbrake.

If the brake fluid level has dropped:

Check the brakes in a safe place. If the brakes are still working properly, drive carefully to the nearest car service or service station.

If the brakes are faulty, have the car towed for repairs.

Warning! Continuing to drive with low brake fluid levels is dangerous.

If the brake fluid level is normal:

Cars with gasoline engines

Check the status of the alarm system by contacting a car service.

Diesel Engine Cars

These vehicles may have a faulty hazard warning system or brake booster.

Check the condition of the hazard warning system and brake booster by contacting a car service.

The original publication can be found on the website [www.ToyotaMAN.ru]

If the car has such faults, it needs to be towed.

The low battery indicator light is on

When this indicator comes on, it means that the battery is getting low. If the light comes on while driving, the battery charging system is faulty.

The engine ignition system will continue to operate until the battery is completely discharged. Turn off the air conditioner, radio, fan, etc., and seek assistance at the nearest service station.

Warning! Do not drive with a broken or loose drive belt.

The oil pressure warning light is on

When this indicator comes on, it indicates that the engine oil pressure is below normal.

If the lamp lights up while driving, slow down, pull over, and stop the engine immediately. Call the dealer's service center or the nearest service station for assistance.

The oil pressure warning light may come on and go out while the engine is idling or come on during heavy engine braking. If the light goes out when the throttle pedal is pressed lightly, there is nothing to worry about.

The oil pressure warning light may come on when the engine oil level is too low. However, the light does not indicate the oil level, which is checked only with the dipstick.

Note: Do not drive when the oil pressure warning light is on. This malfunction does not reduce driving safety, but the engine will fail.

The engine electrical system failure indicator lamp is on (for engines types 4E-FE, 4A-FE, 7A-FE)

If this light comes on while driving, contact your dealer or nearest service station as soon as possible for inspection or repair.

The fuel reserve indicator light is on

The lamp lights up when the tank is almost empty. Fill the tank as soon as possible.

ABS warning light is on

When this light comes on, it indicates a malfunction in the anti-lock brake system. If this light comes on while driving, contact your dealer's service department as soon as possible.

The lamp lights up when the ignition key is turned to the On position, but after 3 seconds the lamp should go out.

If this lamp lights up and the brake malfunction indicator does not light up, the brake system is working properly but is not releasing the wheels when braking.

The indicator light is on, indicating that the door is not closed tightly

The lamp goes out after the passenger compartment doors and the rear door are securely closed.

Additional safety system emergency status indicator light

This indicator lights up when the ignition key is turned to the ACC or On position. After 6 seconds, the indicator light goes out. This means that the additional security system is working properly (inflatable cushion systems).

If any of the two conditions below are present at the same time, the light of the emergency status indicator of the additional safety system lights up, which indicates a malfunction of the sensor device of the airbag inflator, a break in the circuit, or other malfunctions. In this case, you should immediately contact the car service.

When turning the ignition key to the ACC or On position, the indicator does not light up or, conversely, continues to light constantly.

The indicator lights up while driving.

Fuel system filter indicator light is on (for cars with diesel engine)

This indicates that excess condensed moisture has accumulated in the filter and has reached a specified level.

When the filter lamp lights up, drain the water immediately.

Attention! It is prohibited to drive after the fuel filter alarm has been triggered; if driving for a long time due to moisture accumulation, the fuel injection system fuel pump will fail.

Sound signal

The horn will sound if the driver's door is open, the ignition key is turned to the LOCK position and the headlights are on. If the key is removed from the ignition, the horn will not go off as long as the headlights are on.

Checking service reminder signs (except for the fuel reserve indicator light)

1. Put the car on the handbrake.

2. Open one of the side doors or the back door.

3. Close the door. The indicator light should go out.

4. Turn the ignition key to the ACC position. The airbag indicator light should come on and go out after 6 seconds.

5. Turn the ignition key to the On position, do not start the engine. All the mnemonic indicator lights should come on except the fuel reserve indicator light and the airbag indicator light. The ABS indicator light should go out after 3 seconds.

6. If at least one of the indicator lights does not work as described above, then either the bulb has burned out or the alarm circuit needs repair. Contact the car service immediately.
