Light indicator of malfunction of brakes
Reminds you to release the handbrake.
Make sure the vehicle is fully released from the handbrake. After removal, the indicator goes out.
Low fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir or low vacuum (on diesel vehicles).
If the indicator lights up and does not go out while driving, slow down and gently stop on the side of the road. Don't brake hard. If the lamp comes on, it indicates a malfunction of the brakes. Check the liquid level in the nutrient tank, which is visible through the transparent wall.
Make sure the vehicle is fully released from the handbrake.
If the brake fluid level has dropped:
Check the operation of the brakes in a safe place. If the brakes are still working properly, drive carefully to the nearest car service or service station.
If the brakes are faulty, then tow the car for repair.
Attention! It is dangerous to continue driving with a low brake fluid level.
If the brake fluid level is correct:
Cars with a gasoline engine
Check the condition of the alarm system by contacting a car service center.
Diesel vehicles
In these vehicles, the alarm system or the vacuum brake booster may be faulty.
Check the condition of the alarm system and the vacuum brake booster by contacting a car service center.
With such malfunctions, the car needs to be towed.
The low battery warning lamp is on
When this indicator turns on, it indicates that the battery is low. If the lamp lights up while driving, the battery charging system is faulty.
The engine ignition system will continue to operate until the battery is completely discharged. Turn off the air conditioner, receiver, fan, etc., contact the nearest service station for help.
Attention! Do not drive with a broken or loose drive belt.
Oil pressure warning light on
The inclusion of this indicator indicates that the oil pressure in the engine is below normal.
If the lamp lights up while driving, then slow down, stop on the side of the road, and immediately stop the engine. Call the dealer's car service or the nearest service station for help.
The oil pressure warning light may come on and off when the engine is idling, or come on when the engine is braked hard. If the lamp goes out when you lightly press the throttle pedal, then there is nothing to worry about.
The emergency oil pressure lamp may light up when the engine oil level is too low. However, by the light of the lamp, one cannot judge the oil level, which is checked only with a dipstick.
Comment. It is forbidden to move when the emergency oil pressure control lamp lights up. This malfunction does not reduce traffic safety, but the engine will fail.
The control lamp of failure of system of an electric equipment of the engine burns (for motor types 4E-FE, 4A-FE, 7A-FE)
If this lamp comes on while driving, contact the dealer's car service center or the nearest service station for inspection or repair as soon as possible.
The fuel reserve warning lamp is on
The lamp lights up when the tank is almost empty. Fill up the tank as soon as possible.
The ABS warning lamp is on
If this lamp comes on, it indicates a malfunction in the anti-lock brake system. If this lamp comes on while driving, contact your dealer's service center as soon as possible.
The lamp lights up when the ignition key is turned to the On position, but after 3 seconds the lamp should go out.
If this lamp lights up and the brake fault indicator does not light up, then the brake system is working, but it works without unlocking the wheels when braking.
The control lamp is on, signaling a loosely closed door
The lamp goes out after the safe closing of the passenger compartment doors and the rear door.
Light indicator of the emergency state of the additional security system
This indicator lights up when the ignition key is turned to the ACC or On position. After 6 seconds, the indicator light goes out. This means that the additional security system is working (airbag systems).
If any of the two conditions below are present at the same time, the auxiliary safety system emergency indicator light will illuminate, indicating a malfunction of the sensor device of the airbag inflator, an open circuit, and other malfunctions. In this case, you should immediately contact the car service.
When the ignition key is turned to the ACC or On position, the indicator does not light up or, on the contrary, continues to glow constantly.
The indicator lights up while driving.
The control lamp of the fuel system filter burns (for diesel vehicles)
This indicates the accumulation of excess condensed moisture in the filter, which has reached a predetermined level.
When the filter lamp lights up, drain the water immediately.
Attention! It is forbidden to move after the fuel filter alarm is triggered; during a long drive, with the accumulation of moisture, the fuel pump of the fuel injection system will fail.
Sound signal
The horn will sound if the driver's side door is open, the ignition key is turned to the LOCK position, and the headlights are on. If you remove the key from the lock, the signal will not disappear while the headlights are on.
Checking service reminders (except for the fuel reserve indicator lamp)
1. Put the car on the handbrake.
2. Open one of the side doors or the back door.
3. Close the door. The control lamp should go out.
4. Turn the ignition key to the ACC position. The airbag indicator light should come on and go out after 6 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition key to the On position, do not start the engine. All mnemonic indicator lights should come on except for the fuel reserve indicator light and the airbag indicator light. The anti-lock system indicator lamp should go out after 3 seconds.
6. If at least one of the indicator lights does not work as described above, then either the lamp has burned out or the signaling circuit needs to be repaired. Contact a car service immediately.
