Types of repairs without engine dismantling [Toyota Land Cruiser J60]

Without removing the engine from the vehicle, the following work can be performed:

• replace gaskets and seals;
• remove mounted units and assemblies for replacement or repair;
• carry out repairs (or replacement) cylinder head, oil pump, valve drive mechanism, drive parts of attachment units;
• adjustment work.

Repair or replacement of rings and connecting rod and piston group is recommended to be performed after dismantling the engine, as preparatory work will be required.
