Removing
1. Remove the wipers, sun visors and brackets, interior rear view mirror.
2. Remove windshield bezel (if installed).
A) Using a screwdriver, remove the connecting pads.
Note: Be careful not to damage the bodywork.
b) Using a screwdriver, remove the parts of the glass edging, starting from the edge.
3. Removing the windshield (when reusing the seal during installation).
A) Using a screwdriver, remove the seal from the body.
Note: Be careful not to damage the bodywork.
b) Pull the seal flange outward from the inside of the body flanging.
V) Pull the glass outward and remove it together with the seal.
8. Removing the windshield (when using a new seal during installation).
A) Use a knife to cut off the seal flange from the outside of the car.
Attention: do not damage the glass and the body.
b) Pass the wire string from the inside out.
V) Tie the ends of the string to wooden handles or other suitable objects.
Attention: do not damage the paintwork or interior trim of the car when removing the seal from the glass.
Note: To avoid damage to the protective gasket when removing the windshield, place a plastic sheet between the wire and the gasket.
G) Cut off the adhesive by running a string under the seal around the glass.
d) Remove glass.
Installation
1. Treat the surfaces of the body and glass in contact with the seal with a cleaning compound.
2. Installing the seal on the glass.
A) Install the glass seal. Note: If the sealant has hardened, it will not be able to hermetically seal the glass. In this case, a new seal must be used.
b) Insert the cord into the groove of the seal as shown in the figure.
3. Installation of the windshield.
A) Apply primer or soapy water to the mating surfaces of the seal flange and body flange.
Note: glass installation should be started from the middle of the lower part.
b) Fix the glass in its place in the body.
V) From the inside, pull one of the ends of the cord, placing it at an angle to the seal, so that the cord pulls the seal flange behind the body flange. At the same time, from the outside, press the glass along the seal until the glass snaps into place.
4. To seat the windshield in place, lightly tap the glass with your open hand.
5. Apply tape along the entire seal to protect the paint and glass.
6. Apply sealant under the seal flange as shown. Sealant: #08833-00030 or equivalent
7. After the sealant has dried, remove the protective tape.
Note: The sealant dries in approximately 15 hours.
8. Wipe off sealant leaking from under the protective tape with a clean cloth dampened with solvent.
9. Check the glass for leaks. Repair leaks with sealant.

10. For glass with edging: use a screwdriver to install the edging.
11. Install wipers, sun visors and brackets, interior rear view mirror.
