Removing
1. Jack up the car.
2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. (2WD)
Jack up the rear suspension beam on both sides.
Note: use a block of wood as a spacer between the beam and the jack.
4. (4WD)
Jack up the rear axle.
5. Turn off nuts of fastening of the bottom and top support and remove the shock-absorber in gathering.
6. Remove the spring using the special tool.
Examination
Pulling and sinking the shock absorber rod. Make sure that it runs smoothly and that there is no extraneous resistance or noise. If defective, replace shock absorber.
Rear shock absorber (2WD).
1 - upper vibration isolator,
2 - spring,
3 - lower vibration isolator,
4 - spring compression stroke limiter,
5 - shock absorber,
6 - rear beam.
Rear shock absorber (4WD).
1 - upper vibration isolator,
2 - spring compression stroke limiter,
3 - spring,
4 - lower vibration isolator,
5 - shock absorber,
6 - rear axle.
Installation
1. Using the special tool, install the spring.
Attention: when compressing the spring, do not hook the special tool on the lower and upper coils of the spring.
2. Install shock absorber.
A) Raise the beam or bridge with a jack to a height that allows you to install a shock absorber.
b) Install shock absorber and temporarily tighten nuts.
3. Remove the jack from under the rear beam (bridge).
4. Install the wheels.
5. Lower the car.
6. Tighten the wheel nut.
7. Rock the car up and down to stabilize the suspension.
8. Finally tighten the shock absorber mounting nuts.
