1. a) Set the piston of the first cylinder to the position corresponding to TDC at the end of the compression stroke.
Remove the spark plug of the first cylinder, close the spark plug hole with your finger and rotate the crankshaft clockwise until you feel the appearance of pressure under the finger, which corresponds to the approach of the piston to TDC in the first cylinder. Reinstall the spark plug.
If there is no increase in pressure under the finger, rotate the shaft 180°and repeat the procedure.
b) Set the slot of the oil pump input shaft to the position shown in the figure.
2. Install the distributor.
A) Align the undercut of the distributor housing with the alignment mark of the driven gear (not to be confused with connecting pin).
b) Insert the distributor drive shaft into the bore of the cylinder block.
V) Loosely fasten the bolt (or bolts) distributor housing.
3. Install the distributor cap with gasket.
4. Connect the high voltage wires according to the engine running order (1-3-4-2).
5. Connect the electrical connector of the distributor.
6. Connect the vacuum hoses (contact ignition system or non-contact system with vacuum ignition timing).
7. Adjust the ignition timing.
