1. If the rear oil seal housing is removed from the cylinder block:
A) Using a screwdriver and hammer, knock the seal out of the housing.
b) Install the seal carefully; while its surface should be flush with the edge of the housing.
V) Lubricate the lip of the seal with grease.
2. If the rear oil seal housing is not removed from the cylinder block:
A) Use a knife to cut off the end of the seal as shown in the figure.
b) Remove the seal with a screwdriver.
Attention: Wrap the end of the screwdriver with a clean rag so that the crankshaft is not damaged when the oil seal is removed.
V) Lubricate the surface of the new oil seal with grease.
G) Using a socket or pipe of suitable diameter and a hammer, install a new oil seal; while its surface should be flush with the edge of the housing.
