- Place the car on a level surface and apply the handbrake.
- Start the engine, engage all gears sequentially. Finally, set the gearbox lever to position "R" (parking).
- The engine continues to run and check the fluid level while the engine is idling. — Pull out the dipstick.
- The liquid level on the heated box should be between the marks "COLD" And "Hot" on the dipstick. If the box is cold, the level should be below the mark "COLD", but not below the notch in the area of the mark "COLD" on the dipstick.
- If necessary, add fluid through the dipstick hole. This requires a funnel. Do not overfill liquid under any circumstances. Liquid needs to be filled into the box "DEXRON".
To change the fluid:
- Warm up the box to operating temperature.
- Place the car on stands and place a container under the drain hole of the box. The capacity of the vessel must be at least 2.5 liters.
- Unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the box and drain the liquid. Since the liquid is very hot, be very careful.
- Unscrew the transmission pan bolts and remove the oil pan with the gasket.
- Clean the parts well and reinstall the pan with a new gasket. Close the drain plug.
- Pour liquid into the box as described above to the required level. It is enough to fill 2.5 liters, since it is impossible to drain all the liquid.
- Lower the car and engage all gears sequentially. Do the same work for a test drive.
