a) Align the timing marks on the fuel injection pump and coolant pump.

b) Temporarily tighten the bolt and nuts securing the fuel injection pump.
Tightening torque:
- nut - 18.5 Nm
- bolt - 47.5 Nm
Note: Finally tighten the fuel injection pump mounting bolt and nuts to the specified torque after setting the injection advance angle.
2. Install the fuel injection pump drive pulley.
3. Connect the fuel supply hose.
4. Install the high pressure fuel lines.
- Tightening torque - 30 Nm
5. Connect the coolant bypass pipe. Secure it with a bolt and nut.
6. Connect the two coolant bypass hoses.
7. Connect the coolant supply pipe.
a) Install the coolant supply pipe with a new gasket. Tighten the two nuts and bolt.
- Tightening torque - 18.5 Nm
b) Connect the radiator supply hose, coolant supply pipe hose and heater hose.
8. Connect the wire harness and slide it to the left.
9. (Models with automatic transmission) Connect the throttle valve control cable.
10. Connect the accelerator cable to the bracket.
11. Connect the throttle position sensor connector.
12. Connect the fuel shut-off valve connector.
13. Connect the vacuum hose.
14. Install the air intake with the air filter cover.
15. Install the timing belt.
16. Fill with coolant.
17. Pump fuel into the high-pressure fuel pump using the booster pump until you feel resistance.
18. Remove air from the injectors.
a) Loosen the nuts of the high pressure fuel pipe unions on the injector side.
b) Crank the engine to remove air until clean fuel appears from the fuel line.

19. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
20. Check the minimum idle speed and maximum speed (see chapter "Maintenance and general checking and adjustment procedures").
21. Check the coolant level again.
