Checking the fuel injection pump [Toyota Carina T190]

Check the fuel shut-off solenoid valve.

a) Connect the terminal and body of the solenoid valve to the corresponding terminals of the battery.

b) When the contacts close and open, a characteristic click should be heard.

If there is no click, replace the valve.



2. Check the tachometer sensor.

Measure the resistance at the connector terminals with an ohmmeter.

  • Resistance - 600-800 Ohm



If the resistance does not meet the specifications, replace the sensor.
