Electronic immobilizer [Toyota Corolla Verso-AR10]

The key recognition ECU checks the code of the transponder built into the key remote control and compares it with the code stored in the ECU memory. If the codes match, the key recognition ECU communicates with the power supply ECU and the steering column lock ECU to turn on the power and unlock the steering column.

After confirming the steering column unlocking, the immobilizer is deactivated and a signal is sent to the engine ECU allowing the engine to start.
