Mode «AUTO» (for fan speed and airflow)
For automatic air conditioning control, turn the fan speed and airflow control knobs to the position «AUTO» (Toyota Land Cruiser models), or press the auto switch (Lexus LX 470 models).
In automatic control mode, the air conditioning function selects the most appropriate fan speed and airflow according to the temperature.
You can use the manual controls if you want to choose your own settings.
Fan speed controller
On Toyota Land Cruiser models, turn the fan speed control knob - to the right to increase, to the left to decrease.
On Lexus LX 470 models, changing the fan speed is done by pressing the corresponding edge of the switch.
On Toyota Land Cruiser models with type 2 control panel and on Lexus LX 470 models in automatic control mode, do not adjust the fan speed until another fan speed mode is required.
Temperature regulator
Turn the knob to adjust the temperature - to the right to increase the temperature, to the left to decrease.
Air distribution regulator
On Lexus LX 470 models, the air distribution mode is selected by repeatedly pressing the corresponding switch.
On Toyota Land Cruiser models, turn the knob to select the vents used for airflow.
On Toyota Land Cruiser models with type 2 control panel and on Lexus LX 470 models, airflow should not be selected in automatic control mode until another airflow mode is required.
1. Panel - Air is supplied primarily from the instrument panel vents.
2. Two Level - Air is supplied from floor level vents and instrument panel vents.
3. At floor level - Air is supplied mainly from the ventilation nozzles at floor level.
4. Floor Level/Windshield - Air is supplied primarily from floor level vents and windshield.
5. To the windshield - Air is supplied mainly from the vents on the windshield.
Circulation mode switch
Press the button to select the circulation mode, the corresponding information will be displayed on the display screen:
1. Closed circulation - air circulates inside the car.
2. Fresh air - outside air is supplied to the system.
3. Automatic mode - the system itself switches the circulation modes depending on the purity of the outside air.
Button «A/C»
1. To turn on the air conditioner, press the button «A/C». The button indicator will light up «A/C». To turn off the air conditioner, press the button again.
2. In case the button indicator flashes «A/C», it means there is a problem in the air conditioning system and the air conditioner will automatically turn on. If this happens, take the vehicle to a Toyota or Lexus workshop for service.

To turn on the rear heater, press the switch, to turn off the heater, press the switch again.
On Toyota Land Cruiser models, pressing the fan speed select button once will set the fan speed to «LO», and pressing the button twice in succession will set the fan speed to «HI».
