Removing
1. Relieve residual fuel pressure (see chapter "fuel injection system (EFI)").
2. Remove the battery from the pallet.
Note: when the wire is disconnected from the battery, the volatile memory of the ECU, radio is reset. Be sure to read fault codes from the ECU before disconnecting the battery.
3. Drain the coolant.
4. Drain the engine oil.
5. Remove the air filter.
6. Remove the radiator.
7. Remove the power unit (see section "power unit").
8. Remove the coolant pump pulley.
9. Remove ignition coils.
10. Remove the cylinder head cover.
11. Remove the oil pan.
12. Set the piston of the first cylinder to the TDC of the compression stroke.
A) Rotate the crankshaft and align the mark on the pulley with the mark on the timing belt cover.
b) Make sure the marks on the timing sprockets point up as shown, otherwise turn the crankshaft one turn.
13. Remove the crankshaft pulley by fixing the crankshaft with the special tool.
14. Remove the timing chain.
A) Rotate the lock plate down, sink the plunger into the tensioner and lock it in that position.
b) With the plunger recessed, align the holes in the lock plate and the tensioner, install the hex key in the hole.
V) Turn out a bolt and a nut, remove a tensioner.
G) Remove the timing chain.
Installation
Attention: if the timing chain is not installed correctly, the valves and pistons may collide.
1. Install a new crankshaft front oil seal.
A) Apply some engine oil to the seal lips.
b) Drive in the new seal using a hammer and drift.
