Removal
Note: Install in the reverse order of removal.
1. Loosen the steering column bolts, disconnect the wires and remove the selector trim.
Note: Disconnect the six black wire harness (A), then the yellow wire (B) and the two black wire harness (C).

2. Place the selector in position "P". Turn the ignition key to position "ACC" and disconnect the selector lock cable.
3. Disconnect the ignition lock cable.
a) Disconnect the cable from the ignition switch.

b) Disconnect the cable from the brake section.

4.Remove the ignition switch.
Note: Do not bend the cable unnecessarily.

Locking cable positions
Checking the selector lock cables and ignition switch
1. Make sure that the cables are not kinked, bent or damaged.
2. Make sure the pin protrusion is at least 8mm
3. Each position of the selector lock cable must correspond to a specific position of the ignition lock cable (see the figure "Selector and ignition lock cables").
4. Make sure that when the pin is pressed, the cable ends on the ignition switch side and the gearbox side extend simultaneously (see the table "Positions of the locking cables").
