Attention! Wiring and connectors of the pneumatic safety system (SRS systems) are yellow in color and must not be moved or connected to test devices.
Lock
1. Outline the contours of the hood lock, remove the plastic casing, which is attached to the caps. Loosen the lock bolts (arrows) and remove the lock.
2. Pry up and remove the lock cable holder and unhook the cable.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Adjust the position of the lock so that when closing the hood, the buffers are slightly pressed, and the hood is securely locked.
Cable
1. Pry and remove the lock cable holder and disconnect the cable from the lock.
2. Attach a piece of wire of sufficient length to the cable and release all the brackets for fastening the cable sheath to the front bulkhead.
3. Remove plastic wheel arch protection (see subsection 11.12.).
4. Inside the passenger compartment, remove the door sill trim on the driver's side and sidewall trim.
5. Remove the 2 screws securing the lock cable drive lever and remove the lever.
6. Pull the cable with seal and wire into the passenger compartment. Disconnect the old and attach the new cable, making sure that there is a seal on it.
7. Pull the new cable into the sheath over the wire.
8. Install the cable sheath into the cable lever, making sure that the tip of the sheath fits snugly into the notch of the lever handle bracket.
9. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order. Insert the cable seal into the hole in the bulkhead of the engine compartment.
