Removal, checking and installation the longitudinal steering rod (DYNA 150) [Toyota Dyna Y50]

1. Remove the longitudinal steering rod, having first unscrewed the fastening nut and removed the cotter pin.

2. Check the ball joint.

a) Clamp the hinge in a vice.

b) As shown in the figure, click the ball joint pin back and forth five times until the nut is installed.

c) Using a torque wrench, continuously rotate the ball stud by the nut one revolution in 2-4 seconds, then measure the torque value at the fifth revolution.

Torque:

• DYNA 100 - 2.9 Nm
• DYNA 150 — 7.4 Nm

3. Check the tie rod for wear and damage.

4. Install the tie rod, tighten the nut and insert a new cotter pin.

• Tightening torque - 91 Nm
