Removal and check of steering draft (DYNA 100)
1. Remove the front wheel.
2. Remove steering draft in gathering.
A) Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the fastening nut.
b) Disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle arm and center tie rod.
3. Check the ball joint.
A) Clamp the joint in a vise.
b) As shown in the figure, click the ball joint pin back and forth five times until the nut is installed.
V) Using a torque wrench, continuously rotate the ball stud on the nut one revolution in 2-4 seconds, then measure the torque at the fifth revolution.
- Torque - 2.0 Nm
5. Check the tie rod for wear and damage.
6. If necessary, replace the tie rod end.
A) Loosen the tie rod clamp.
b) Disconnect the tie rod end.
V) Screw in a new tip. The tie rod length should be about 295.2 mm.
G) Rotate the tips 90°.
Tie rod installation (DYNA 100)
1. Install the tie rod to the center tie rod and knuckle arm, then tighten the nuts and install a new cotter pin.
2. Install the front wheel.
3. Adjust toe.
4. Tighten the tie rod clamp.
- Tightening torque - 15 Nm
5. Check the center position of the steering wheel.
