Removing the steering gear
1. Unscrew the bipod mounting nut and remove the bipod from the shaft with a special tool.
2. Remove the steering column assembly.
3. Disconnect pressure tube and return hose.
4. Turn off bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism and remove it.
Steering gear disassembly
1. Clamp the steering gear in a vise as shown in the figure.
2. Remove the end cap.
A) Loosen the adjusting screw locknut and the four cap screws.

b) Loosen the adjusting screw until the cover comes free.
3. Tap the end of the bipod shaft with a plastic hammer and remove the shaft.
4. Remove the control valve assembly.
A) Loosen the four cover screws.
b) While holding the rack piston with your thumb, turn the steering gear screw clockwise. Then remove the control valve assembly.
Warning: Do not remove the rack piston from the steering gear screw.
V) Remove the O-ring.
5. Remove the piston rack.
A) Place the valve body in the wrench and clamp it in a vise.
b) Disconnect the piston rail.
Warning: Don't lose the balls.
6. Turn away a counternut.
A) While holding the adjusting screw with a wrench, loosen the locknut.
b) Unscrew the adjusting screw with a special key and remove the bearing.
7. Remove the O-ring.
8. Remove the following parts: steering gear screw, thrust bearing, plate, Teflon ring, O-ring.
Steering gear installation
1. Install the steering gear in place and tighten the bolts.
- Tightening torque - 73 Nm
2. Connect and tighten the pressure tube and return hose.
- Tightening torque - 44 Nm
3. Install the steering column assembly.
4. Connect the bipod to the steering gear.
A) Align the marks on the bipod and armpit shaft.
b) Tighten the bipod with the nut.
Torque:
- DYNA 100 - 177 Nm
- DYNA 150 - 172 Nm
5. Fill reservoir with hydraulic fluid.
6. Rock the system and check the pressure.
