Removal the steering knuckle
1. Remove the front hub and brake caliper.
2. Remove the dust cover.
a) Unscrew the two bolts, remove the two cotter pins and the dust cover.
b) Remove the steering knuckle arm from the steering knuckle.
3. Remove the steering knuckle.
a) Jack up the lower arm.
b) Remove two cotter pins and unscrew two nuts.

c) Using the tool, disconnect the steering knuckle from the lower ball joint, then from the upper one.

d) Remove the jack.
d) Press on the lower arm and strut and remove the steering knuckle.

Checking the steering knuckle
Using penetrating paint, check the steering knuckle for cracks and replace if necessary.

Installing the steering knuckle
1. Install the steering knuckle.
a) Connect the steering knuckle to the upper ball joint and tighten the nut.
b) Press down on the lower arm and the tie rod and connect the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint and tighten the nut.
c) Jack up the lower arm.
d) Tighten the upper ball joint nut and the lower ball joint nut.
- Tightening torque - 142 Nm
d) Install the cotter pins.
2. Install the steering knuckle arm and dust cover, tighten the bolts and install the cotter pins.

- Tightening torque - 87 Nm
3. Install the front wheel hub and brake caliper.
4. Check the front wheel alignment.
