Removing the steering knuckle
1. Remove the front hub and brake caliper.
2. Remove the dust cover.
A) Loosen the two bolts, remove the two cotter pins and the dust cover.
b) Remove the steering knuckle arm from the steering knuckle.
3. Remove a rotary fist.
A) Jack up the lower arm.
b) Remove two cotter pins and unscrew two nuts.
V) Using a tool, disconnect the steering knuckle from the lower ball joint, then from the upper one.
G) Remove the jack.
d) Press down on the lower control arm and strut and remove the steering knuckle.
Steering knuckle check
Using penetrating paint, check the steering knuckle for cracks and replace if necessary.
Installing the steering knuckle
1. Install the steering knuckle.
A) Connect the steering knuckle to the upper ball joint and tighten with a nut.
b) Press down on the lower arm and strut and connect the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint and tighten with the nut.
V) Jack up the lower arm.
G) Tighten the upper ball joint and lower ball joint nut.
- Tightening torque - 142 Nm
d) Install cotter pins.
2. Install the knuckle arm and dust cover, tighten the bolts and install the cotter pins.
- Tightening torque - 87 Nm
3. Install the front wheel hub and brake caliper.
4. Check up adjustment of corners of installation of forward wheels.
