Removing the shock absorber
1. Disconnect the shock absorber from the beam and from the frame.
Shock absorber installation
1. Connect the shock absorber to the frame and to the beam.
- Tightening torque - 24 Nm
Removing the spring
1. Jack up the car and install stands, then lower the beam until the spring is free from the load and fix its position.
2. Remove ladders.
A) Remove the four stepladder nuts and remove the two stepladders, buffer and spring pad.
3. Lower the beam.
4. Remove the spring.
A) Remove the connecting bracket and bushings from the rear of the spring.
b) Remove the eye pin and bushings from the front of the spring.
Leaf spring replacement
1. Using a hammer and chisel, pry back the clips.
2. Clamp the spring in a vise near the center bolt and unscrew it.
Front suspension (Dyna 150).
1, 4, 6 - Retainer,
2-; 3, 7 -; 13 - Bushing,
8 - stepladder,
9 - Buffer,
10 - Spring,
11 - Ear finger,
12 - Spring lining,
14 - Connecting bracket.
3. If necessary, replace the spring clips.
A) Drill out the rivet and remove it.
b) Install a new rivet in the spring hole, then rivet the rivet.
4. Install the center bolt.
A) Align the holes in the sheets and secure the spring in a vise.
b) Install and tighten the center bolt.
- Tightening torque - 49 Nm
5. Using a hammer, bend the spring clip.
Spring installation
1. Install the spring.
A) Install bushings at both ends of the spring.
b) Install the spring in place and insert the eye pin.
V) Install and tighten the bolt.
- Tightening torque - 11 Nm
G) Screw on the eye pin nut without tightening it.
d) Install the connecting bracket and screw on the nuts without tightening them.
2. Install ladders.
A) Install the buffer on the spring.
b) Set the ladders on the buffer.
V) Tighten the ladder nuts.
- Tightening torque - 123 Nm
Note: Tighten the stepladders so that the protrusion of the bolt behind the nut is the same.
3. Remove the stands and rock the car to stabilize the suspension.
4. Tighten the nuts on the eye pin and connecting bracket.
- Tightening torque - 91 Nm
